VOLUNTEER

Activities	​We organize cookouts, bingo, music, movies...  You can: Help plan, organize or host an event.  Help cleanup after an event.  We always need help cleaning Saturday and Sunday mornings.
​Dictionaries for Grade Schools	​Once a year, we purchase and distribute hardcopy dictionaries to elementary school students.
​Environment	​Each month we patrol Kailua Beach to pick up trash.  Meet up is at the rest rooms in the parking lot directly across from Buzz's the first Saturday of every month at 8:15am. You can volunteer at 808 Cleanups. You can help care for our native forest at Hamakua Marsh State Wildlife Sanctuary. You can volunteer to assist the Genki Ala Wai Project.
Flag Day & Veteran Services	​We Elks invented Flag Day and we celebrate it each year on 14 June.  We visit local veterans and help them transition back to civilian life and cope with disabilities.
​Potluck	​Organize potluck dinners at our lodge.
​Hoop Shoot	Every November, we invite kids to compete in The Elks National Hoop Shoot.  We need volunteers to manage the competition.
Canoe for Veterans	We organize 6-man outrigger canoe activities for the military families stationed at the US Marine base in Kaneohe.
Parking	Our parking privileges at 46 Ho'olai are not free.  We help pay for it by: Picking up trash and gardening the first Sunday of every month at 8:15am.  Locking its gates every night after our lodge closes.  If you use our parking lot, please help to maintain it.
